The workshop aims to guide students in the process of creating a hyperrealistic painting, with a focus on portrait painting using a photographic reference for interpretation.
You will learn layering and glazing techniques to achieve a realistic effect. You will learn the procedure for creating a Hyperrealistic Portrait using an 11-color palette. I will teach you step by step the exclusive technique I have developed.
You will learn how to make your painting stand out on the canvas with the Munsell Color System applied to Hyperrealistic oil portraiture. You will discover how easy it is to apply glazes and add details to create textures.
All the concepts and methods taught will be useful for creating any painting. Individual attention will be given to each student to enhance their technical and conceptual skills.

Day 1
Introduction
Time: 10am - 6pm

The photographic image: How it is captured, post-production, and digital printing.

Painting supports.

Palette preparation and arrangement, based on the Munsell Color System.

Demonstration.

Students begin the exercise. We will start working on the first layer of paint, aiming to interpret and represent volume on the canvas plane using the properties of color: HUE, VALUE, and CHROMA.
Day 2
Beauty lies in the detail
Time: 10am - 6pm

Demonstration.

Application of the second layer of paint by students. I will be supervising the progress of the exercises and addressing any issues that may arise.
Day 3
Get rid of your doubts
Time: 10am - 6pm

Demonstration of details and the use of glazes.

Finishing the painting with details and glazes by students.

Included in the workshop
Coffee and lunch
During the three days of the workshop, our participants will receive coffee and snacks. A small buffet will be served for lunch, and we will dine together on-site. If you have any allergies or special requests, we would be happy to prepare something separately for you.
Easel and Material
The participant only needs to bring their own canvas and material (based on the list that we will provide). An easel will be provided on-site to all of our workshop participants.
Furniture
We will provide each participant with a table and a chair. On the table, we will place cloths, plastic covers, and tracing paper for each participant.

The Basel Carnival lasts for the three days and begins on the Monday after Ash Wednesday. For many ‘Baslers’ and for those who participate in costume during Fasnacht the three days are some of the nicest of the year and a definite highpoint.

Beginning
The Basel Fasnacht begins at 4 am on the dot on the Monday after Ash Wednesday. Then all the city lights are extinguished and thousands of drummers and flute players begin the opening notes to the marching music entitled, not coincidentally, ‘Morgestraich’.
Stories of Basel's Old Town
Join us on a journey through the centuries. There is hardly any other cityscape where buildings from the 15th century blend so harmoniously and vibrantly with contemporary creations by internationally renowned architects. On our tour, we will share with you facts and anecdotes about Basel and the background of its development, passing by historical buildings such as the Town Hall, the Basel Cathedral, and the Barfüsser Church.
